Starting prices by type of business

Each price covers a defined scope. Most of the booking engine already runs in our travel core, so you pay to adapt it to your suppliers, rules and brand, not to build it from zero.

What raises the cost

Two booking engines with the same screens can differ a lot in price. The difference is almost always in these six things.

  1. Number of supplier connections

Each GDS, bedbank, channel manager or supplier API is its own integration, with its own test account, rules and certification. Two suppliers cost less than six.

  2. Pricing rules

Seasons, prices by date and room type, allotments, margins per channel and currency conversion need more logic than one price per product.

  3. Sales channels and roles

A B2B channel for agents or advisors adds logins, net and commission views, approvals and its own reports on top of direct sales.

  4. Languages and currencies

Every language adds content and emails to translate, and every currency adds rounding, display and payout rules.

  5. Payments

A deposit now and the balance before departure, refunds, vouchers or several payment providers each add steps to checkout and to the back-office.

  6. Moving your existing data

Bringing in bookings, customers and products from spreadsheets or an old system takes mapping and checks, especially when bookings are still open.

What keeps the cost down

  • Starting from a booking engine that already works, instead of a blank project. You pay for your suppliers, rules and brand.
  • Building in phases. The first phase gets you selling online; the next ones add channels, suppliers and automation once the first one pays its way.
  • One sales channel first. Direct sales or the agent channel, then the other.
  • Keeping the tools that already work for you, such as your PMS or channel manager, and connecting them instead of replacing them.
  • A written scope before each phase, so changes are priced before they are built.
